Conclusion:
The urethral dose determined by analysis of a post-implant CT scan of an I-125 prostate
seed implant depends upon the timing of the CT scan. Our results show that the dose
indicated by the CT scan obtained 46 days post-implant was 34 % or 93 Gy greater than the
CT scan obtained on the day of the implant. Because this large difference, it is important
to also specify the timing of the post-implant CT scan when specifying dose thresholds for
morbidity.
