  • Dental and Vision Care
  • Workers’ Compensation/Long-Term Disability

Health insurance (Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Personal Choice, or choice of HMO) is available on the date of hire and covers the resident and resident’s spouse and children. For more information on benefits, call 215-955-8100.
Accommodations
The Barringer and Orlowitz residencies on campus offer comfortable apartments, ranging in size from efficiency apartments to three-bedroom apartments. In addition, the Martin Building offers affordable, dormitory-style living.
Residents who prefer to live off campus have many alternatives in apartments or affordable homes. The neighborhood surrounding Jefferson offers everything from quaint town homes to modern, high-rise apartment living. The Pennsylvania and New Jersey’s suburbs are also readily accessible via excellent transportation systems. The university’s Housing Information Service (215-955-6479) can provide residents with information for both on and off-campus living arrangements.
House Staff Association
Each resident is a member of the House Staff Association (215-955-6610), which is part of the Medical Staff Organization. The association has its own elected officers and delegates, who represent the interests of the house staff as active voting members on important hospital committees. The association organizes social events throughout the year and can assist residents with any issues or problems.
