Timothy Showalter is currently a resident in
the Department of Radiation Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
He received his undergraduate education at Washington and Lee University in
Lexington, Virginia, where he received a B.A. degree in chemistry in 2000. He
attained his M.D. in May 2004 from the University of Virginia in
Charlottesville, Virginia. He subsequently moved to Philadelphia to complete a
transitional-year internship during 2004-2005 at Presbyterian Medical
Center-University of Pennsylvania Health System. He has served as resident in
the Department of Radiation Oncology at TJUH since July 2005.
As a radiation oncology trainee, Dr. Showalter's studies and interests are
broad in scope. His research efforts have focused on post-prostatectomy
radiotherapy with Dr. Valicenti and central nervous system tumors with Dr.
Werner-Wasik.
